Injection molding, from a shop that holds the licence
We have open injection molding capacity and we are actively taking on work. Scientific molding, an RJG Master Molder® II on staff, and a licence that lets us quote the work most shops turn down.
Why this is different
Most injection molders will not quote firearms work. Not because they can't do it — because of insurance, internal policy, or simple unfamiliarity with the regulatory side. We are a licensed 07 FFL manufacturer with a Class 2 SOT. The compliance questions that make other shops walk away are just how we already operate.
And we run scientific molding, not trial and error. We have an RJG-certified Master Molder® II on staff and two eDART® systems on the floor.
Scientific molding, in house
Master Molder® II is RJG's advanced certification. It covers cavity-pressure process control and DECOUPLED MOLDING® III — developing processes around what the plastic actually experiences in the cavity rather than what the machine is set to. It is a two-week qualification that requires Master Molder® I first, and it is not common in a shop this size.
Paired with our two eDART® systems and in-mold sensors, that means:
| Capability | What it means for your part |
|---|---|
| Cavity pressure control | The process holds to what the plastic sees, not just machine settings — so parts stay consistent as material viscosity drifts between lots |
| Process monitoring & containment | Suspect parts are detected and contained at the press, not discovered by you later |
| Documented process windows | Your process is recorded on a universal setup sheet in machine-independent terms, not held in one operator's head |
| Machine & mold qualification | We can properly qualify a mold to a press rather than guessing at the fit |
| Process transfer | A validated process can be matched onto a different press — useful if you scale or move tooling |
Why this matters for firearms components. Function and safety depend on parts being the same every time, not on average. Cavity-pressure control is how you get repeatability you can document rather than repeatability you hope for — and it is the difference between a shop that molds parts and a shop that can prove what it molded.
What we're looking for
- Firearms and defense components — grips, handguards, magazine bodies, trigger guards, furniture, housings
- Accessory and gear parts — mounts, cases, holster shells, hardware
- Short and medium production runs, including work other shops consider too small to bother with
- Overflow capacity if your current molder is backed up
- Non-firearms work as well — the presses don't care
Why work with us
Licensed
07 FFL manufacturer, Class 2 SOT. We can legally handle work that most molders turn away, including regulated components.
Scientific molding
RJG Master Molder® II on staff, two eDART® systems. Cavity-pressure process control and documented, transferable processes.
Small runs welcome
We're not chasing million-piece contracts. If your volume is awkward for a big shop, it's probably right for us.
You talk to the owner
No account manager, no ticket queue. The person quoting your job is the person running it.
US-based
Palm City, Florida. Domestic production, no overseas lead times, and no export headaches on controlled work.
Getting a quote
Email Aaron@burntofferingsdefense.com with whatever you have. A drawing is ideal, but a photo and a description is enough to start a conversation.
What helps us quote quickly:
- Part drawing or 3D file, if you have one
- Material, or the performance you need if you're not sure
- Annual volume and run size
- Whether tooling exists, and who owns it
- Target timeline
Already have tooling? Send us the specs and we'll tell you honestly whether it will run on our equipment. If it won't, we'll say so rather than take the job and find out later.
Export-controlled work
Defense articles carry ITAR and EAR obligations that sit on both parties. If your part is controlled, tell us up front and we'll work through the requirements with you before anything is quoted — not after.
