Shoot a machine gun
Full-auto, with a licensed dealer standing next to you — indoors in Martin County or outdoors in Okeechobee. No license required, no tax stamp, no paperwork — because the firearm never leaves our possession.
You don't need anything but ID. A machine gun can be fired by anyone legally permitted to handle a firearm, as long as the licensed owner is present and in control of it. That's us. You shoot, we supervise, the guns come home with us.
What's on the line
| Firearm | Caliber | Per magazine |
|---|---|---|
| AR-15 | 5.56 NATO | $50 / 30 rd |
| AR-9 | 9mm | $30 / 30 rd |
| Glock 18 | 9mm | $30 / 30 rd |
| Genesis Gen-12 | 12 gauge | $50 / 15 rd |
Magazine prices include the ammunition. Shoot one, shoot all four, shoot as many magazines as you want.
What it costs
| Item | Cost |
|---|---|
| Range officer & supervision | $100/hour, one hour minimum |
| Range fee | At cost, varies by range |
| Ammunition | By the magazine, above |
A realistic first visit — one hour, a few magazines across two or three guns — lands somewhere between $250 and $400 depending on how much you shoot. We'll give you an honest number before you book, not after.
The Glock 18 is the one people remember. It's a selective-fire pistol that almost nobody outside law enforcement gets to touch, and it empties a 30-round magazine faster than you'd believe. If you're only shooting one thing, shoot that.
When we run these
Saturdays only, by appointment. Rentals take a range booking and a dedicated block of our time, so they run on Saturdays rather than alongside counter business. Give us as much notice as you can — there are only so many Saturdays.
| Range | Where | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Indoor | Martin County | Any weather, closer to Palm City, tighter bays |
| Outdoor | Okeechobee | More room, longer distances, better for a group or filming |
Tell us which you'd prefer when you book and we'll confirm availability. Range fees differ between the two and are charged at cost either way.
How it works
Book a time
Email us with a date and roughly how long you want. We'll confirm the range and give you a cost estimate.
Bring ID
Government photo ID, 21 or older. Eye and ear protection — we have loaners if you don't.
Safety brief
Before anything is loaded, we walk through the range rules and how each firearm runs. Ask questions; that's what the hour is for.
Shoot
Our range officer is beside you for every round. First-timers are normal — most people have never fired one.
Law enforcement & agency demonstration
We are an 07 manufacturer holding a Class 2 SOT, and our select-fire inventory is available for agency evaluation and demonstration. If your department is assessing a platform, wants trigger time on something before a procurement decision, or needs a licensed dealer to support a training day, get in touch directly.
Agency demonstrations are scheduled separately and are not limited to Saturdays. Email Aaron@burntofferingsdefense.com from a department address and we'll work around your schedule.
Training
We aren't a training company, but we work with groups who are — firearm fundamentals, defensive shooting, and self-defense instruction. If you want training rather than range time, ask and we'll put you in touch with whoever actually fits what you're after.
There's no fee and nothing in it for us. We'd just rather you learn from someone who does it properly than from a video.
Also available: try before your stamp clears
If you've bought a suppressor or SBR from us and your Form 4 is pending, you can shoot it under the same arrangement while you wait. Same $100/hour and range fee, and the item stays in our possession and returns to our safe. Details on the transfers page.
Questions
Do I need a license or a tax stamp?
No. You need neither. A machine gun can be fired by anyone lawfully able to handle a firearm as long as the licensed possessor is present and in control. We keep possession the entire time, so nothing transfers and nothing is required of you beyond ID.
Can I bring my own ammunition?
No. Rentals are shot with ammunition we supply. Reloaded or unknown ammunition is the single most common cause of damage to a full-auto firearm, and these are not replaceable at any price.
I've never shot a gun before. Is that a problem?
Not at all — it's most of who books this. You'll get a full safety brief first and an RSO within arm's reach for every round. We'd rather teach someone from scratch than correct bad habits.
Can I bring friends or family?
Yes. The hourly rate covers our time, not a head count, so a group splits it. Everyone shooting needs ID and needs to be 21 or older.
Can I take photos or video?
Yes, and you should. Just clear it with the range first — some have rules about filming on the line.
What if I break something?
Normal wear is on us. Damage from ignoring a direct instruction from the range officer is not. We'll go over this before you shoot, and it has never actually come up.
Book it by email: Aaron@burntofferingsdefense.com
Tell us a date, roughly how long, and how many people, and we'll come back with a range and a cost estimate. Email is how we take every booking — it gives us both a written record of what was agreed, which matters more in this business than it does in most.
All rentals are supervised by a licensed dealer who retains possession of the firearm at all times. Must be 21+ with valid government photo identification and not otherwise prohibited from handling a firearm. We reserve the right to end a session at any point for any safety reason, without refund.
